John JD Juchniewicz, MCIS, CHCP, has served as the President of the American Academy of CME, Inc. (Academy) since 2012. Prior to this, he served as an educational consultant to the Academy from 2007 - 2011 after 10 years of experience in professional health care education and medical publishing. He has served on the Academyís Board of Directors since 2011.

Mr. Juchniewicz has expertise in the practice of adult education, including the development of gap analyses and instructional design for continuing education activities for physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and other health care professionals. He is also knowledgeable in the interpretation and application of continuing education certification standards, rules and regulations.

In addition to his work with the Academy, he has consulted with non-accredited medical education companies and healthcare professional associations to develop certified educational activities. He currently serves as an ACCME volunteer accreditation surveyor, a volunteer member of the Committee on Medical Education and as a volunteer accreditation site surveyor for the Medical Society of New Jersey.

Previously, Mr. Juchniewicz was Director of Clinical Services for Liberty Communications Network, which was at one time part of the medical education group within Cardinal Health. He has also served as an Editor/Group Editor at several medical publishing companies, including Quadrant HealthComm and MultiMedia Healthcare.

Mr. Juchniewicz received his undergraduate degree in Communication and English from Rutgers College in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He also holds a Masterís Degree in Communication and Information Studies from Rutgers University. Mr. Juchniewicz is active in his community, holding leadership positions in several local organizations.
