Edward J. Moylan,
After 18 years as director of clinical pharmacy services in a midsize community hospital, he spent five years as director of pharmaceutical group purchasing at the New Jersey Hospital Association, where he developed bidding and purchasing programs for approximately 100 nongovernment hospitals located in New Jersey. Subsequently, he became director of business development at Marsam Pharmaceuticals in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Marsam was a manufacturer of a wide range of difficult-to-produce sterile injectable generic products. At Marsam his responsibilities included medical education and coordination of meetings and conventions.
Following the sale of Marsam to Schein Pharmaceutical and then the sale of Schein to Watson Pharmaceuticals, Mr. Moylan spent several years as a consultant to several medical education companies and developed and managed continuing medical education/continuing education (CME/CE)-certified activities. One of his accomplishments was the development of a series of live, Web-based CME/CE-certified activities that were among the first medical education programs on the Web.
Today as vice president of the Academy, Mr. Moylan oversees the certification of pharmacy activities at the Academy. He’s also the Academy’s chief financial officer.
Mr. Moylan received Bachelor of Science and bachelor of pharmacy degrees from Rutgers University.
