Sondra L. Moylan,
MS, RN Ms. Moylan’s expertise is in development and implementation of continuing medical education (CME) programs and symposia for physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and other health care professionals in the United States, Canada, and Europe. Her past practice also included pharmaceutical marketing and medical communications. Prior to founding the Academy, Ms. Moylan was director of research and education at the Academy of Medicine of New Jersey for seven years. Additional positions included director of symposia at Excerpta Medica in Belle Mead, New Jersey; senior account executive at CoMed Communications in Philadelphia; and director of professional services at Communications Media for Education Inc. in Princeton, New Jersey. Currently, as president of the Academy, Ms. Moylan is responsible for developing and managing the Academy’s continuing health care education activities. Ms. Moylan is currently a volunteer surveyor for the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and for the Medical Society of New Jersey’s Committee on Education. She frequently lectures to pharmaceutical and medical education/communication companies on current issues relating to CME. Ms. Moylan received a nursing degree from St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing in Passaic, New Jersey, and her undergraduate degree from St. Peter’s College in Jersey City, New Jersey. In addition, she completed a master of science degree at St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia. Her clinical background is in emergency and critical care nursing. As a past member of the American Heart Association’s speaker’s bureau for its Take Wellness to Heart campaign, Ms. Moylan lectured at corporations and women’s organizations on women’s health and cardiovascular disease. She’s also served in public office as Committeewoman and mayor of Montgomery Township, New Jersey. |
