Karen P. Wetzel Karen P. Wetzel recently joined the American Academy of CME, Inc. as education manager. She has more than 8 years experience in the medical education field. In 2003 Karen received an Outstanding Performance Award from the Center for Advanced Medical Education and during her time there she was instrumental in the Center’s ability to receive a six year Accreditation with Commendation. In her position at the Academy, Karen works with cosponsors, joint sponsors, educational partners, and vendors from the development phase through implementation and evaluation for both live and enduring materials on a wide array of therapeutic areas. She also assists our educational partners in the development of grant proposals. Her responsibilities are to ensure that the Academy’s educational activities are planned and implemented in accordance with the policies and regulations of all agencies responsible for oversight of certified continuing medical education activities. She is also responsible for all documentation and monitoring of activities to ensure compliance. |
